Field of Gold

We had a very exciting session on a local farm -- a farm that I have traveled hurriedly past for 20 years. But this week I met the owner. He is a friendly man in his 80's and I am grateful for his permission to photograph in his fields.

The farmer and I have a lot in common and I look forward to sitting under the old oak tree listening as he relives his life. Thanks to a mom's special photo request I have found a new friend and his field of gold.

From another session this week, we had a combined outdoor and studio photoshoot.

The little one was slow to respond at first. Soon our work was rewarded with his jubilant smile. A great morning session!

I had requests for displaying some art prints that we displayed years ago. So now I am reconstructing the Art Galley Shoppe with some of my favorites. The prints are 8x10 and are matted to fit an 11x14 frame. Please note that a portion of the proceeds will go to the Susan G. Komen cancer fund.

A link for the gallery is :

Ask yourself what would you be doing if you had all of the money that you would ever need. I would still be photographing. We live in a beautiful world and I get to keep a little of it one frame at a time.

Riley's 1st Birthday

It is hard to believe that our little daughter is one year old. What a wonderful year this has been. I reflect on the day Lisa told me that we were pregnant. Then how I had Lisa stand at the same window each week as I photographed her growing belly.

Also the 30+ hours in the delivery room and witnessing the miracle of birth. Lisa's mother Marilyn helped us so much.

There are so many memories and each one can be awakened from it's rest with a glance at a photograph. Let me encourage you to take pictures of your family and loved ones. Take them often. Life goes by so quickly and change is a constant.

Lisa and I know the importance of our job as photographers. We can help record your life's history for your children's children. Whether a marriage, newborn, senior, or a family portrait, we offer amazing photography at affordable pricing. Give us a call to discuss your session.

The Relaxed Portrait Session

The memories of the school picture day still haunt me. Dad made me wear a white shirt and a black tie and then he slicked our hair down with VO5. Then the long line to library where a cherub-looking man with a fake smile twisted my head at uncomfortable angles and told me to look natural and relaxed only to blind me with an untamed flash! I never liked photo day or any of the pictures taken there.

This is one of the reasons that for over 10 years now we have moved from the typical indoor studio to outdoor or location portraits. We will meet you at your favorite park, backyard, or at our garden pond location. We have morning sessions and evening sessions. Lisa and I work together arranging you in several different areas to give you a variety of proofs to select from.
Here are some of our recent garden pond sessions.

Also at the garden pond location we have Lisa's 1965 Chevy Malibu and my 1955 Chevy Sedan that are available for that "something different" photo.

Relaxing is the key to portraiture. Add a serene outdoor setting along with a smile and you have a cherished keepsake.

I love the outdoors and using nature as our canvas. Most of all, I love my job recording your family's history with photography.

An Outdoor Wedding

On a beautiful summer's day in the Atlanta suburb, with a custom built stage and trellis designed and constructed by the groom (Assembled and painted by their family members), the loving couple of Margarita and James were married.

There is something special about an outdoor ceremony. I always try to go to the rehearsal to see the arrangement and lighting. When Lisa and I saw the trellis, we knew this was to be very lovely...and to think they made it all from James' design. We had photographed their engagement session, Margarita's bridal session, and now their big day.

The reception was in the rear of the residence complete with a huge tent, a dance floor and the DJ service of Music Man Productions of Stockbridge, Ga. along with videographer Steve Schumacher of Creative Video Moments, LLC.

Lisa and I were honored to be there. To hear to the toast, see the smiles, and feel the joy, in a true celebration. Congratulations Margarita and James! You are loved!

Outdoor Engagement Sessions

When planning your big day, I want to encourage you to consider an engagement session. We often hear brides concerned about how their fiances dislike their photo being taken. Our E-sessions are a wonderful way to experience how we work and also let us get to know you before the wedding day on a relaxed morning or afternoon. And when the wedding day arrives, you both will hardly notice us taking the amazing candid photographs.

Here are a few of our recent e-sessions.

Lauren and Joseph

Margarita and James

Another benefit of the e-session is that you receive all of the digital negatives and a rights release document. This allows you to use the photographs on table settings at the reception, signature mats, invitations, etc.

Give Lisa a call today to schedule a meeting to discuss how we can make your wedding day special.

Outdoor Bridal session

One of the advantages of booking with Randy Wilson Photography is the two photographers. Lisa and I have two totally different perspectives and I love the freshness she brings.

We were on location photographing our beautiful bride Margarita. I had finished most of my shots when Lisa saw the bridge and the tree some 80 yards away. Everyone was willing but I did not see what she had in mind until she posed Margarita against the tree and captured the graceful bridge in the background.

I have learned to step aside when she is "on" and just watch her work. We had a wonderful day. I would like to thank Terri who helped greatly with the dress along with make-up and hair artist Durvis from Miami, Fla. Here are a few others from that blessed day.

I told Margarita as she was in her car to leave. " You took us to a new level today and I thank you!"

The 55 Chevy

The 55 chevy

The year was 1976 and I was hanging out with my brother, Tim. We had heard that there was a solid red 1955 for sale. After the test drive, I pressured Tim to buy this beautiful car. He wasn't as passionate as I was for she had a few motor troubles. Tim, a naturally gifted mechanic, grew tired of working on her.

A year later I guess I caught him at a weak moment and he sold her to me for $900.00. And $100.00 down and $100.00 a month, I began my 30 year friendship.

I took her to my senior prom. She was there when I became engaged which is strange because we were in a bad wreck when turning into the store to shop for a diamond. She was also there when that girl gave back my ring.

She was my bread and butter and I drove her daily to work. When the economy turn slow and layoffs were announced, I joined the Navy. Dad and Tim promised to keep her dry in the work shed beside the John Deere.

I actually carried a photo of her all over the world on the USS America and dreamed of a day when I was once again a civilian and driving my 55.

Several transmissions, lots of brake, engine, clutch work , and a paint job, I am happy to say that we are together. And this leads to the purpose of my story. A few weeks ago I had my first portrait session with the 55. Such a huge success! Now we are offering to seniors or anyone who would like to have something different.

Give us a call or email.
