As Your Family Grows, We'll Be There for You

In the fall of 2006, we met Nicole and Calvin in a local coffee shop to discuss their wedding photography. We enjoyed their attitudes about each other and life. We were delighted when they booked us to shoot the wedding and also chose an engagement session at Indian Springs State Park. We had a great time with them.

In 2007, their wedding took place on the lawn at The Atlanta Motor Speedway. What fun we had! The bridal party dressed in the VIP Suites. The family is filled with NASCAR fans. I even got them to pose by the huge sign.

In the fall of 2007, we met Nicole's family at Heritage Park in McDonough, Ga., with Nicole already expecting.

When the eighth month of maternity came, they chose us to record this stage of their life also.

We were in Charlotte, N.C. when the call came from Calvin with the news of their son, Jason. A quick drive back and I was invited to the hospital room and into this very special day in their lives.

And then, last week, we once again had the pleasure to photograph them at our studio.

As they were leaving, we thanked them both for choosing us. "We'll be calling you again!" Nicole said to us.

Wow! This is the essence of why we are in this business. We know the importance of family. We know how quickly we grow and how we cherish our memories...memories that can be relived with a glance at a photograph.

Nicole and Calvin are just one of the couples that we have followed from the wedding to a newborn child. There are quite a few families who have let us grow with them and we truly feel it is a privilege to document life for them. Thank you!

Congratulations, Meredith & Dustin!

Meredith and Dustin were married at a perfect venue, in a perfect ceremony, and on a perfect day. Dunaway Gardens, 45 minutes south of Atlanta, was the paradise setting of a beautiful wedding. Filled with flowing pools and lush greenery, this may be one of my favorite places to date.

Meredith had some very special requests. Together, we had some great ideas and got some great shots.

Lisa also brought some creativity to the "Wedding Tree." The couple was so responsive and relaxed...our job was easy.

When we placed them at this pool, I was looking to use the waterfall. Then the sun broke through and highlighted Meredith and Dustin exactly where they were standing!

We couldn't refuse the reflection photos, either.

I wish I could take credit for this one, but Dustin climbed into the cart on his own and I simply had the others gather around.

Meredith arranged the wedding party and then turned them loose to have fun.

We truly enjoyed ourselves and we could never call days like this one work!

Photography presentation

Lisa and I gave a presentation today called "Take Better Digital Photographs." We were invited by the East McDonough-Locust Grove chapter of MOMS Club International.
I enjoyed the chance to share some tips and offer some suggestions to help others improve their photography skills. I think the one tip that helps the most is to get down on your subject's level. Bend those legs and get away from the adult looking at child perspective.
Thanks to all the MOMS Club members for allowing us to speak.
Congratulations to Carol and Jim Braswell in the birth of their daughter, Leah. It's always a pleasure to be a part of an addition to a family.

There are still a few weekend dates available for the Fall Christmas Portrait specials. Contact us for details.
