Field of Gold

We had a very exciting session on a local farm -- a farm that I have traveled hurriedly past for 20 years. But this week I met the owner. He is a friendly man in his 80's and I am grateful for his permission to photograph in his fields.

The farmer and I have a lot in common and I look forward to sitting under the old oak tree listening as he relives his life. Thanks to a mom's special photo request I have found a new friend and his field of gold.

From another session this week, we had a combined outdoor and studio photoshoot.

The little one was slow to respond at first. Soon our work was rewarded with his jubilant smile. A great morning session!

I had requests for displaying some art prints that we displayed years ago. So now I am reconstructing the Art Galley Shoppe with some of my favorites. The prints are 8x10 and are matted to fit an 11x14 frame. Please note that a portion of the proceeds will go to the Susan G. Komen cancer fund.

A link for the gallery is :

Ask yourself what would you be doing if you had all of the money that you would ever need. I would still be photographing. We live in a beautiful world and I get to keep a little of it one frame at a time.

Riley's 1st Birthday

It is hard to believe that our little daughter is one year old. What a wonderful year this has been. I reflect on the day Lisa told me that we were pregnant. Then how I had Lisa stand at the same window each week as I photographed her growing belly.

Also the 30+ hours in the delivery room and witnessing the miracle of birth. Lisa's mother Marilyn helped us so much.

There are so many memories and each one can be awakened from it's rest with a glance at a photograph. Let me encourage you to take pictures of your family and loved ones. Take them often. Life goes by so quickly and change is a constant.

Lisa and I know the importance of our job as photographers. We can help record your life's history for your children's children. Whether a marriage, newborn, senior, or a family portrait, we offer amazing photography at affordable pricing. Give us a call to discuss your session.

The Relaxed Portrait Session

The memories of the school picture day still haunt me. Dad made me wear a white shirt and a black tie and then he slicked our hair down with VO5. Then the long line to library where a cherub-looking man with a fake smile twisted my head at uncomfortable angles and told me to look natural and relaxed only to blind me with an untamed flash! I never liked photo day or any of the pictures taken there.

This is one of the reasons that for over 10 years now we have moved from the typical indoor studio to outdoor or location portraits. We will meet you at your favorite park, backyard, or at our garden pond location. We have morning sessions and evening sessions. Lisa and I work together arranging you in several different areas to give you a variety of proofs to select from.
Here are some of our recent garden pond sessions.

Also at the garden pond location we have Lisa's 1965 Chevy Malibu and my 1955 Chevy Sedan that are available for that "something different" photo.

Relaxing is the key to portraiture. Add a serene outdoor setting along with a smile and you have a cherished keepsake.

I love the outdoors and using nature as our canvas. Most of all, I love my job recording your family's history with photography.

An Outdoor Wedding

On a beautiful summer's day in the Atlanta suburb, with a custom built stage and trellis designed and constructed by the groom (Assembled and painted by their family members), the loving couple of Margarita and James were married.

There is something special about an outdoor ceremony. I always try to go to the rehearsal to see the arrangement and lighting. When Lisa and I saw the trellis, we knew this was to be very lovely...and to think they made it all from James' design. We had photographed their engagement session, Margarita's bridal session, and now their big day.

The reception was in the rear of the residence complete with a huge tent, a dance floor and the DJ service of Music Man Productions of Stockbridge, Ga. along with videographer Steve Schumacher of Creative Video Moments, LLC.

Lisa and I were honored to be there. To hear to the toast, see the smiles, and feel the joy, in a true celebration. Congratulations Margarita and James! You are loved!
