Growing up in the Carolina countryside, I often take the back roads when driving to the city of Atlanta. There is something about the country that offers a little peace before venturing onto the Atlanta highways. One of our favorite drives goes past Willowick Farm only a few miles from our house. When we learned they were having an open house for a wedding venue there, we were ecstatic! The funny thing is that we learned this at The Georgia Bridal Show at the Cobb Galleria in January. They were only a few booths down and it was there that Julie invited us to their upcoming Open House event.
The weather was terrific for the Open House. I arrived early and Julie gave me the full tour. I quickly began photographing, noticing the beautiful horses abound.
They offer a variety of locations for ceremonies and receptions with a fowl weather backup plan inside the large stable.
The bridal cottage was spacious and immaculate...
and the groom's cottage is one of the best that we have seen!
Photographers will love the possibilities of the grounds. My mind still races with ideas for the wedding party.
I was really impressed with the details and décor.
But I really should not be surprised for Julie and her staff won the "Best Booth" award at that same bridal show of over 200 booths! We highly recommend Willowick Farm as a wedding and reception venue and we look forward to our return.
